Common questions and their answers (this is not an exhaustive list!)

1. Question: Are you legally trading here in Spain and are you insured?
Answer: Yes. I am legally registered to trade in Spain, and I hold 3rd party liability insurance.
Certification for the above is available on request.
2. Question: Can an electric water heater be serviced?
Answer: Yes. See further information under products and service section

3. Question: The water heater is plugged in but there is no hot water
Answers:
i. Check the electrical supply is OK - plug in an appliance known to be working
ii. Is the indicator light on?
If yes, the heating element has most likely failed
If no, the thermostat has probably failed
Both the above are repairs - you do not need a new water heater!

4. Question: There is water dripping from the bottom of the unit. What's wrong?
Answers:
i. Loose connections on the hot and cold pipes at bottom of the heater
ii. The boiler cylinder has leaked, due to corrosion. This will require replacement.

5. Question: Water is dripping from the valve under the boiler on the cold water supply
Answers:
i. Dirt or grit lodged in the valve causing it to leak
ii. Valve spring has failed or broken
iii. Pressure in the heater is too high - caused by excess incoming water mains pressure and/or water heater thermostat set too high

6. Question: My water bill is much higher than usual, but i've done nothing different
Answers:
i. Leaking flush and/or float mechanism(s) in WC('s)
ii. Leaking tap(s)
iii. Water leak in hot/cold supply pipes in house
iv. Water leak in cold supply pipe to house from meter
All the above require further investigation.
7. Question: My water meter dial keeps moving, even when no water is being used
Answer: See question 5) above
8. Question: The water flow from one of the taps is very poor. All the others seem OK
Answer: The filter on the end of the tap is probably blocked with limescale, grit or dirt
9. Question: Water pressure from all the taps is poor
Answers:
i. Check with neighbours if they have same problem. If yes, it suggests Aguagest water pressure is low.
ii. Partial blockage in cold feed to house
10. Question: Do you service and repair washing machines?
Answer: No, but I know a man who can! I can put you in touch with a colleague who is manufacturer trained, and can provide this service.
11. Question: What areas do you cover?
Answer: Based in Algorfa, we cover an area north to Gran Alacant, south to Campoverde and inland to Dolores, Catral and Albatera.
12. Question: Do you offer 24 day emergency cover?
Answer: At present, no. Working hours are;
Monday to Friday 0800 - 2000
Saturdays 0900 - 1400
